I am 13 weeks and 1 day. I am really failing at this blogging thing. Its been over a month since I posted something. We went back to the doctor on February 25th. Before the doctors appointment, my morning sickness (nausea) had subsided but I was crippled by stomach cramping and diarhea. Everytime that I would eat, I would only be able to eat small amounts and my stomach would cramp and knot. It was extremely uncomfortable. I just assumed that it was a pregnancy symtom. When we went to the doctor for our second visit, he asked how things were going and I said great minus the stomach cramping. He asked a number of questions about the cramping and he began to express some concern. He said that what I was going through was not typical. He thought that I might have some kind of digestive problem. I told him that it had been going on for about 4 weeks and he said that if it did not start getting significantly better within the week that he wanted me to go see a GI Specialist. I got nervious thinking that something could be hurting the baby. He ensured me that baby was probably doing fine... It was more me that he was worried about.
Thankfully, the cramping has gotten quite a bit better over the last week or so. I still have it from time to time but its tolerable. Through everything with my stomach issues, I lost 8 lbs. I still have not gained any of the weigh back but Dr. Sherman says that it will come. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat at this appointment! :) 160 bpm! We asked when we would be able to find out the sex of the baby. He said that we will do an ultrasound next appointment at 15 weeks but he wont know for sure until the 19-20 week appointment.
I havent been too tired. I feel tired from time to time but nothing extreme. Food adversions: Meat!!! I still love cereal! Every morning for breakfast! Chips and salsa are a staple in my diet.
I dont consider myself too moody but Ryan might think otherwise. I cried over Barbara Streisand. "She is just so beautiful! I love her!"
Okay, I'm going to hell.... Twice in the last month, I have ignored small children that are trying to sell girl scout cookies or trying to save a dog or something. I blame this on my discomfort, Ryan finds it hilarious!
My dad is in town for 3 weeks. This has brought up its challenges because he is staying at our place. He is being nice but 3 weeks is a long time. I love him and will be sad to see him go but I will be ready to get back into our routine and focus on us and baby more!
I found my uterus! Actually, Ryan did. I am a little on the plump side to begin with so I knew I wouldnt show for awhile but we can feel the firmness of my uterus growing in my lower abdomin. That was fun! I bought my first pair of maternity pants because my jeans had gotten too snug. They are not very attractive but oh well.
We have started to clear things out of the baby room. It was the guest room/Ryan's office until now. Sold some bookshelves, sold the guest bed. Office table is next to go!
We are excited to get working on this room once we know whether is a boy or girl!
I think that is all for now. I will try to post more often again!
